Sub-Limit

Sub-limits are limitations on specific coverages in a health insurance policy. Some health insurance plans have sub-limits on medical expenses like daily room rents, ICU charges, ambulance charges, etc. Some plans even impose sub-limits on the treatment of certain specific illnesses or day care procedures.

Please go through your policy document carefully to understand the sub-limits under your health insurance policy. These sub-limits affect the extent of coverage and can increase out-of-pocket expenses during hospitalisation. Ideally, look for a policy which covers all costs up to the sum insured for comprehensive coverage.
