Policy Document
An insurance policy document is a legal contract which lays down the terms and conditions governing the insurance policy. It specifies all the details, such as the policyholder’s name and contact details, coverage amount, type of coverage, premium amount and payment terms, policy period, riders or add-ons, and endorsements, if any. It is the proof of an insurance contract.
Your insurer can issue the policy document in hardcopy or softcopy. You must read the policy document carefully once it is issued to understand the scope of coverage and other terms and conditions governing your policy.
