Blacklisted Hospitals

A blacklisted hospital is a healthcare facility which is not recognised or covered by a health insurer. The insurer will not process the claim on a cashless or reimbursement basis if treatment is taken in a blacklisted hospital.

Insurers may blacklist a hospital or healthcare facility due to a history of inflated or fraudulent claims or violating the insurance company’s terms.

The list of blacklisted hospitals may vary with insurers. Every health insurer updates its list of blacklisted hospitals with time and as claim experience emerges. It is recommended that you check the list of hospitals blacklisted by your health insurer before taking any treatment.
