Age Limit
Age limit refers to the minimum and maximum age up to which an individual is allowed to buy a new health insurance cover. Different health insurance plans may have different age limits for adults and dependent children
For example, many health insurance plans in India have an age limit of 18 – 99 for adults. Contrary to this, there are some health plans which are meant for senior citizens with an age limit of 61 – 75.
However, the age limit applies only at the time of entry when the individual purchases the cover for the first time. Lifelong renewals are available for already-covered individuals.
